Pat Noble founded the Praise Academy of Dance in 1993 seven (7) years after receiving a word from the Lord about establishing and leading a christian dance academy

Pat Noble founded the Praise Academy of Dance in 1993 seven (7) years after receiving a word from the Lord about establishing and leading a christian dance academy. Since receiving her call, she has been instrumental in redeeming the indigenous reggae and folk forms of Jamaica to be used as instruments of worship unto God.

Pat is a trained teacher who taught at the kindergarten through to all age levels of school. She holds a diploma in Dance Education from the now Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, Jamaica School of Dance. She has been an adjudicator at the annual Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Dance Competition since 1994.

At the Lord’s leading, she led the Academy to participate in the local JCDC festival in 1999, where over a period of three (3) years, the Academy netted a total of twenty-one (21) medals and thirteen (13) trophies including the trophy for Best Studio Group in 2003 – performing before a largely secular audience.

In 2004, Pat had the privilege of launching Praise Academy of Dance Barbados under the guidance of Marcia Bryan Weekes. Pat has conducted and participated in numerous outreaches, workshops and seminars locally and overseas. She is a believer in excellence before God and encourages her dancers to strive toward this mark both spiritually and technically.
